Uttar Dinajpur District Police is continuously involved in such community policing initiatives which have a bearing on police work/functioning. These activities include traffic rules, human trafficking, drug abuse and cyber/financial crimes awareness amongst school children, anti witch-killing campaigns in tribal populated areas, awareness against child marriage and human organs racket in affected areas. The district police is also actively promoting sports activities in all PS areas for better police-public relationship. These sports include football, volleyball, cricket, archery etc. Keeping in mind the scarcity of blood in Raiganj Blood Banks, the district police also regularly organizes blood donation camps and free health check-up camps for the under-privileged.

A fortnightly community policing schedule is made centrally for each police unit and distributed to them. Support such as training materials, instructors etc are provided from the headquarters.
